Thumbs up problem solved! xp installation...

Well after spending two hours today on the phone with microsoft support, I was stumped about how to get my XP h\v to install!
The system was running win me w/1.4 athlon and 320 megs of ram, 40g W/D hard drive, geforce2 mx 200 graphics card and
a 3com 56k modem. We tried everything, but nothing seemed to work and microsoft decided to send me a new disc.
But I just would not believe my disc was bad.
So I found a notice at M/S website on geforce 2 mx200 Graphics cards causing possible hang ups.
So I flashed the nvidia bios to latest update.
I also flashed my award bios (on motherboard) to latest update and then downloaded the latest drivers for my video card and installed them. I rebooted the sytem and presto!! The installation went smoothly and without a hitch after the updates.
I hope anyone who reads this, helps 'em out!
