Installed Windows XP, but no Sound

I have recently installed Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP2 and I can not get the sound to play. I've heard that I need to install the driver for the sound card. The only problem is, I can not determine the type of sound card I am utilizing.

I have a HP Pavilion a630n. I'm not sure what additional information you will need to help me determine this. This is, officially, the first time I have installed Windows on a computer.

Please adivse!

Thank you anyway. I think I have it all figured out.

Sorry for any inconvenience!
