Quite a lot of problems

Hoping I can find some help here.

On Sunday, my computer was afflicted by a trojan named HTML Troj/Agent-L. It was located in my temporary files and named 'popup[1].html'. Avast! caught it but could not move/delete it, and as a result of my computer's CPU being almost all used up, I had to restart

When I got my computer back and running I started a scan with Avast! and went using Run to the temporary files and started to delete all my temporary files

Avast! caught the same trojan while it was being deleted and it caught it in C:/RECYCLER under the name Dc339.html

Not thinking much of it, I moved it and I thought all was solved until I checked the chest and noted that Dc339.html had been modified at 5:53 PM, 3 hours after the current time when I had checked it

Lately however my computer has been having strange problems; for example, the process 'System' has started appearing even though I have never seen it before

Occasionally explorer.exe will not start and my desktop wallpaper will load but nothing else; I have to use Task manager to open up explorer. exe, and sometimes it doesn't even load then and I have to restart the computer

Run32dll.exe also always is running on my taskmanager for some reason, same with WLLproxy.exe (neither have even been seen running on my task manager before)

When I leave the computer on for long amounts of time as well, the screen glitches up and I get black artifacts all over the place; I can still click and use the computer; it's just that everything looks glitchy until I close some of the windows (and even so the cursor still stays a glitched, pixelated box)

I have run scans on both Avast! and AVG and nothing has turned up, although a thorough scan on Avast does pixelate my screen as well

I am running Microsoft Windows XP SP2

Help would be much appreciated, and I would like a way to fix this that does not include having to do a clean install

AcroRd32.exe has suddenly started running on my task manager for some reason just this moment

Also as well, WLLoginproxy.exe (sorry I mistyped it at first) always runs on my computer until I shut Internet explorer off (haven't tried it if I turn off the actual internet connection)

For some reason as well, the scanner you provided could not scan some of my files, mostly temp files (will put up screen

Any suggestions?

I may put up a HijackThis log for someone who is good with the program to help me clean my computer.

The link I gave was a manual disinfection article.

WLLoginproxy.exe is a windows live component. Safe. Disable messenger to stop it methinks.

I noticed this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\wisptis.exe
A tablet pc input component. Known to cause problems on normal PCs.
Search your registry for wisptis and wisphidden. Delete all references, then delete the actual file. You can kill the task before doing so.

Sorry for not replying for a little while (haven't had time) , but I have tried that and my computer still acts strangely-no signs of Agent-L anymore on my computer however the scanner/deletion log provided via the link had some strange things on it:

Log from the Sophos scanner:

RESOLVE Version 1.06
Copyright (c) 2004, Sophos Plc, www.sophos.com

System disinfection for Troj/Agent

Data Version 1.02

System scan started at 20:17 on 24 April 2008

Stopping and removing infected services

Checking for Troj/Agent in memory

Could not open process. Process ID: 456

Scanning D:

Error opening file D:\793899129820e5550267\spuninst.exe

(This directory is quite strange, seeing as I cannot delete anything in it because 'access is denied'-there is also an update folder in there which I cannot delete as well)

Scanning E:

I have been able to rectify the problem as a temporary fix by using the 'welcome' screen on XP, and logging out and back in when the taskbar does not come on

Also, hijackthis comes up empty as well I'm beginning to think it has to do with the actual hardware in my computer that's causing this problem, seeing as I occasionally get a black screen with 2 pixels in the corners before the log in screen appears
