Intel(R) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller

i dont know if this was posted earlier or not, if it was sorry.

anyways, i dont know what happened to my comps sound. i had upgraded it from Windows 2000 to XP and it was working on XP for a while (think a virus might've took it out and forgot to return it ;P) and then when i was looking at it about to change the volume, my cursor went over it and it dissapeared, i checked the control panel. everything was grey. like the driver never existed. so i went around and i found a copy of it on the internet, (months ago) and i installed it on my computer. and i had sound for a whole half of a day! i went to change the volume again, and as soon as my cursor went over it, whaddya know. it dissapeared again, and the rest... well, already told you.



any help appreciated, (plz make it simple :])
