Unhappy No sound. Help me

Type of Desktop: Dimension E310
I got this a few years ago and when it crashed, it no longer had any sound. Then on April I had gotten sound.
Just yesterday, my cousin started to stick my thumb drive repeatedly into my broken USP cord. After 3 times, it crashed. A blue screen came up, and I thought it was just a memory dump. I figured out it wasn't after I restarted 3 times. NOW, I don't have any sound, and I need help. Does anyone know what to do?

It is either Creative or Sigmatel. I would try the Sigmatel first.

I tried downloading all of those things. When I downloaded sigmatel, it told me I didn't have the right disk or whatever.

Give me a minute, I'll download the driver, see what's what......

You have winrar or winzip? Dell file is just a self extracting exe. Create a folder in C: call it what you want. Copy the downloaded exe there and extract it. Run setup, If asked for the disk, file etc, just direct it to the folder you extracted to, ok?
