thats what ive been selecting after that it sends me to Gateway update then I click "Check Now" then "Continue" after that it sends me back to the "Select your desired source for updated drivers:"
You are going in circles. Select the downloads presented when you go back to the site.

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a restore point and follow instructions

Allready tried. Doesn't work. Or the update tool, so it seems.
I would grab any downloads that apply to you and install them, save for next time. Your device manager will tell you what they are.
You definately want this file: 9524569 The XP chipset driver. Install first. Reboot.
Sound , video etc are at the bottom.

yea i tried those downloads and for some odd reason it hasnt done anything the only thing that appears yellow in the device manager is multimedia audio controller and ethernet controller im guessing that 4 sum reason im missing them
