big ole sound problem
reinstaled windows and all the drivers that were suposed to work from panasonic and still no sound. been all through the toughbook support site and it sucks.

i have installed the cipset drivers restarted an then the sound drivers and still now go...i even uninstalled everything first. then i reformated ad did it again for kicks still no go. im sure i am downloading the right drivers for my system cf51xxxldxx mk2ll. im lossing my mind. i hae even reformated a tried all the other drivers on the site if it would acctualy install, i went with it untill i knew there was no joy, then another two hours of reformating and reinstalling. i have opened the sucker up and the speekers are connected properly.
i just cant take it anymore,as bad as it may be i have been installing anythng i can find that will install, with no joy, and the reformating again.
my humble pleadings for help.

so i tried, i really tried and still no sound!! reinstalled windows then the chipset and a reboot then sound and a reboot and nothing. if you have any more ideas please tell me what im doing wrong. i know the sound used to work because buddy got it from his dad, just had some nasty spyware slowing it down. i just dont know anymore.

faint sound
i have now found there to be a faint almost inaudiable sound coming from my headphones and i can only assume from the internal speekers as well. i have tried to install Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio with no luck. any thoughs on this would be great. thanks.

it turns out the thoughbooks use acip hotkeys and this one was muted. seeing as i was so foucsed on the sound i never installed the hotkeys.
i feel a pefect ass. im smarter then this. sorry for bothering you all.
