change ugly green Start menu button?

i just installed XP pro and am becoming increasingly annoyed by the fact that microsoft doesnt know how to match. i think my start bar would look so much better if that green start menu button match it's color. can anyone tell me how to do that?

I changed the text of my Start button using the Elders Geek's site. I changed the color using StyleXP.

That is kind of made obvious by the fact you have replied to a three year old (nearly four year old) thread.

Welcome to the forum, might pay to look at the dates of threads you're responding too.

For anyone who's interested, you want the "Silver Blue" theme. Same as silver allmost and all green is changed to blue. Even the progress indicators.

This theme is based on the Windows XP Silver (aka Metallic) visual style by Microsoft. The green portions have been made blue and the taskbar has been made smoother by Niraj Bhawnani.
Don't use themeXP.org for it. That site is known to bundle "things" into the download. Your choice, but be warned.

It needs the uxtheme patched first. Thread and download here:
