Event Id 1002 - Application Hang

Hi.
I have a Pentium 4 with Windows XP + SP 1.
Lately I'm suffering from these events:

Source: Application Hang
Event ID: 1002
Description:
Hanging application SETUP.EXE, version 3.1.0.8043, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

The SETUP.EXE refers to Visual Studio Setup. I'm trying to remove the software, but when I open the setup It quickly stops responding, and after that the event pops in my application log.

Do you have any idea what can lead to this problem?

Thanx,

Re-install the application then Uninstall.

You may have got a corrupted installation log file.

Hi,
It's not working... the new installation stuck as well, and I get the same event.
Maybe something else?

Try from Safe Mode - tap F8 at boot until you get the boot menu.

I've look thru several forum on the topic and tried several things. I'm lost i think it may be a ram or Video problem.
I've reloaded a different version of windows and the same thing. Uninstalled the game . Same thing.
