External Hard Drive

I bought a Rosewill RX358 case with a Western Digital 640 GB hard drive. After assembling it, I attached it to my computer via USB, and the computer recognized the hard drive and I started formatting it. It was at 88% the last time I checked it, then when I came back 4 hours later my roommate had unplugged my external, and now the computer won't recognize the hard drive. It doesn't show up in My computer under "Disk Management". I have no idea where to go from here if that won't recognize it. I was thinking I could plug it into my computer as a regular hard drive, then format it through the DOS prompts, but I was wondering if there was an easier way. The case has USB 2.0 and eSATA, but neither one will make the drive show up.

I would get my roommate to buy another drive for me

I guess next best thing would be connecting it directly to your IDE channel, hope that works.

I disagree , You should get a new roommate

See if you plug it in a different usb port whether it will get recongize
