blue screen of death

I have a three year old Sony Vaio which has a 1.5 year old hard drive (because it crashed). Ive been having problems with its start up about two weeks ago but it worked fine when I took out and put back in the memory and the hard drive, but now that solution isnt working. Everytime I start-up, it does the blue screen of death and restarts to show me the vaio screen, the windows screen, and then the screen blacks out and the fan turns off but the power is still on. Ive tried the F8 and F2 button to start in safe mode but it wont even let me see that screen! Im out of the country for another month and desperately need help!! THANK YOU!

Unhappy HELP NEEDED, BLUE SCREEN of death

Hello,

Seems like everytime I start my laptop (toshiba Tecra M2 model no. PTM20C-4MP2S) i get a blue screen error saying 0x0000007E.

I cant not even go to safe mode or any other advance set up mode using F8 key, no matter what I select I end up with the same screen.

Please Help.

Awaiting reply.....

It's F8 to enter safe mode and also check how 2 enter the sony vaio bios; Perhaps there is a setting to Load BIOS Defaults, or such, that may help.
