XP 64 - No game servers

1. Version of XP - XP Pro 64 bit
2. Hardware setup - Quad Core (9300), 4GB RAM, D-Link 524 router using wire, Nvidia 790i mobo, 2xSATA drives in RAID 0, Striker 7.1 sound card, 8800 GTX vid card.
3. What exactly happened leading up to the problem - built new system, same router, forwarded ports in router correctly, cant see servers for any games in multiplayer via game interface or xfire
4. Exact error messages - servers time out on respond
5. Any antivirus, firewall software you are running - avast for antivirus, ghostwall for firewall and windows firewall

Also of note is that i turned off avast, ghostwall and windows firewall and was still getting no response from servers. im going through the same router as my old 32 bit winxp system. i forwarded ports for my new rig to its ip and still no servers.

What do you guys think?

Hi, this is a hard one...nearly always a firewall problem but as you have disable all the fire walls it leaves little left. Try a tracert to a servers ip. Have you checked your router that the firewall is not turned on in there? This would really #@!* off so if it was me I would start to uninstall ghostwall or maybe try a system restore before you installed it.
