Appears Advent have wrong drivers listed, these are all the drivers from ECS for your model, they are for XP http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Pro...nuID=9&LanID=9

The notebook is an ECS G335 sold by Advent, but ECS show the audio as realtek High Definition not AC'97 go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Tick I accept the above – wait till site resets then click Next

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install

The site is slow

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start/ All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a
Restore point and follow instructions

I have already installed drivers from the realtek website but everytime i try to run setup it gets half way and says that there is a couple of files missing. I have tried to find these files or even download them so that the driver can read them but it just has not worked. Please if yo coud give me any more ideas on how to solve this i will be very grateful.

go to the ECS site and install IDE- Intel chipset - then restart your comp. Install Realtek HD audio again

I cant even install Intel Chipset as it says that "The file isapnp.sys on unknown is needed" and its asking me to locate the file. This is really driving me insane, there must be a way to sort this but i just dont know how.

Try a System File Check go to Run – type “sfc /scannow” (without the quotes and note space after sfc) have Win disc available in case sfc needs to replace or repair any files. The program runs with no alerts and then closes.

then install the chipset from Intel - No:3
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filt...4&submit=Go%21

if this does not help try this from M$
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;315311

Don't forget the Restore Point

Try downloading AIDA32 from http://www.sofotex.com/AIDA32-download_L9326.html This program is great as it tells you the devices installed. Realtek 'AC97 should be easy to find. Did you try the motherboard's website (for WinXP) or Realtek's website? Windows Updates might do the trip also if you search "Custom" instead of "Express." Look under Hardware updates.

Hi there,
I have already tried to install from the realtek website but it still keeps on coming up with errors of missing files etc. I also have no idea where to go for the motherboards website. I do know a bit about computers but certain things like this really baffle me. Do you have anymore solutions which may help?

put link to motherboard drivers in first post
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Pro...nuID=9&LanID=9

but it's the missing system files that XP is throwing up that is a problem, did you try the system file check.
