Windows XP wont boot up(need help)
hey whats up guys this is actually my first post here and im sure alot of people are going to say search but i think my situation is a little different than most..
I dont even know were to start but today i tried starting up my computer when i got home from school and it goes to a black screen that says...
"we apologize for the inconvenience but windows did not start successfully . a recent hardware or software change might have caused this"
"if your computer stopped responding restarted unexpectedly or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders chose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked. if a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to power failure or because the power or reset button was pressed choose start up windows normally"
it gives me the option to choose safe mode ...safe mode with networking....safe mode with command prompt or start up windows normally.....so everytime i choose a selection it goes and then restarts...it goes to the windows screen with the bar loading and it just restarts ...no matter what option i pick...so i decided what the hell ill just try to refresh everything and re install windows xp...i dont have files that are important saved on the hard drive...i have back up files for anything i really need that i always keep....well the cd will not boot it goes straight to the screen that i was just explaining..i went into bios just to make sure i had the 1st boot device on cd drive and 2nd on the hard drive and it says it is...so i have no idea what to do...
...i never upgraded memory or any type of peripheral devices before ..always had the OEM parts and never screwed around so im not sure what i did wrong....so if anyone could help that would be great..thanx
