HP Pavilion dv6233se audio driver problem!!!

Hi,

I just converted my hp pavilion dv6233se vista to XP professional and lost the sound. I check for the audio device and it says "Legacy audio driver". PLS HELP ME get my sound back, for I don't even know what type of sound card I've got. What should I do? Please advise me step by step.

Hi there,

I downloaded the file and ran it. Then it said there is a problem with Media Device. I looked it up in Device Manager and it says "Media Control Devices" "Manufactures - Standard system devices". I tried to search for Media Device but no luck. What am I doing wrong here?? If you know the answer, I would appreciate any help from you . Thank you, Monty007!

What does it mean by "no audio device, no media device"? Before downgrading my pc from vista to xp pro, it used to have sound. So, what's going on?? as I simply don't understand. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Please help me make my day!
