Inadvertently deleted Multimedia Audio Controller?

IN attempting to clean up my harddrive, I think I inadvertently removed the program that controlled my speakers. I am running Windows XP and have Creative SBS250 speakers. I contacted Creative and they wrote back that their speakers do not have drivers, so there was nothing for them to send me to download.

When I boot the PC, I get a message box concerning Multimedia Audio Controller and it gives me 2 options - install software automatically or install from a list or specific location. When I try automatically it searches and then comes back saying it can't find the software. And I don't have any software on a CD.

Computer info: ASUSTek COmputer MOdel A7V400-MX Version 1.03, North Bridge VIA KM400 Revision 00; South Bridge VIA VT8235 Revision 00; CPU AMD Sempron 2400+; Socket A, 3PCI, 1AGP, 2048Mb max capacity; 32Mb max memory module size.

Speakers are not controlled by the computer, they just amplify sound sent from the speaker output of the sound card, which is controlled by software and for which the correct driver is necessary. Look here:

You can see the download link on the left where you should be able to get the correct driver for your soundcard and other drivers for your main hardware.

Please download them all and save them to a CDRom in case you ever need to reinstall them.
