My DESKTOP Won't show up

well here goes the problem

As soon as my windows XP start up it takes up time in starting up first,then ony the wallpaper shows up and no icons,taskbar, etc.the task-manager is running but it won't execute window applications(explorer.exe) & every time my antivirus Avira free edition(up-to-date updated) with showing detection of ADSPY/AGENT.24576 with an infeted dll file cbXQjkKa.dll.well file can't be deleted as it shows up that its being used up by another process.
I even tried AVG anti malware, spyware,but it proved to be of no help.
I have read past posts on this site but none of the solutions provided proved useful.
I have tried eveything(nearly...)like safe mode scanning but no result.even the same condition prevails in safe mode.
Please Help.
I have posted this as a last resort because i can't afford to format my computer as it very-2 valuable programs and information &data whose loss is unaffordable.

Well, this is a very bad problem, and the only plausible solution that I can think of would be a Hard Drive reformat. The problem sounds like it is in the Windows itself with a corrupted dll or something missing in the registry.

As far as the lost information...since the computer itself is working, just reboot and start CMOS/DOS/Command Prompt (or whatever it is called) instead of windows and save any really important information to a disk or flash drive.

It may have been a virus but is doubtful...it's probably something missing or a corrupted dll. Although not in the Windows folder as much...but dlls tend to corrupt fairly easily because of there program dependency.
