Windows running slowly....etc
I recently bought a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H S-series mobo, an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition, and 2gb of OCZ DDR2 1066 ram, and finally a ATI Radeon Visiontek HD 4850 video card. My PC ran fine until I installed the new mobo, processor, and ram. I popped in the new card yesterday, and my comp just had a fit "visually" it seemed. I installed the drivers that were on the CD that came with the card, and the card does work, however, it seems that windows in general is very "spiky" and very laggy in most cases, (i.e. the loading screen for xp home edition with the windows logo and the loading bar below takes about 3 minutes to load). I can load and play oblivion, bioshock, WoW, and all that stuff, but the games spike in performance every now and then. I've ran full system virus scans, numerous registry scans and defrags, etc. and nothing comes up. My mouse also tends to freeze as well as my sound temporarily, and I have to keep resetting my mouse. All thoughts and input would be appreciated, thanks.
Note: I have not reformatted or re-installed windows since installing the new hardware, just "re-activated" windows instead..
