Video Controller
Hi, I am new here so dont really have a clue where to start!!
I recently reformatted my comp *well thats the term I use when I mean I just inserted the windows xp disk and let it install auto lol*.
I thought everything was working ok apart from my AntiVirus software for some reason when I reinstalled it, it kinda lost a few points like my AntiVirus protection. Nevermind, it was only when I went to play a game it mentioned something about my video card. I thought this was a little strange as I had had no problems before, considering it is the same comp... so I checked the devices and found a yellow exclamation mark next to video controller (VGA Compatible). Now normally when I saw those I just uninstalled and then reinstalled and it generally found and reinstalled them. However, after trying this 12 times and then trying to find people with a similar problem ever since I got home, I have come to the end of the line and just dont know what to do. I couldnt tell you the first thing about my comp except that it is custom built, I think!
erm, heres what I know:
Microsoft XP Professional service pack 2
Direct X 9 is installed (dont think this helps but hmmm...)
Motherboard name is Elitegroup Computer System Co. Ltd, product P965T-A (I think)
Bios type is Award
Audio adapter is Realtek HD Audio Output
Well as you can see I really dont know what to write so please please please reply with what you need to know and I will try to find out!! thank you everyone!!

Get Everest, copy and paste the Computer / Summary section
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml
Is your monitor socket on the I/O plate or in a expansion slot, see here, click image to focus
http://www.overclockeddoc.com/bookwo...0io%20slot.JPG
once we know the specs then we can find the driver

still not showing the video card, look over the tower for a label, see if it shows the model, also Get Belarc, copy and paste the report, omit the Software section, it gives Product Codes for your OS and the Windows Critical Updates.
