Exclamation

I have exactly the same problem and have not got a clue:

Video Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatiable)

Both have ?! next to it.

I have:

Intel Pentium 4 3.00ghz
1gb RAM
Windows XP Home SP1

My screen is lagging, everytime i scroll down on the internet the page refreshes, its slow, screen resolution is dodgy etc, i guess its down to these two missing devices?

I did a full format and re-install of XP and there were loads of devices missing, these are my last 2 and im stuck. I had the SM Bus Controller.

I downloaded and installed this, to get rid of the bus controller, but i dont know if it was the right thing to do as the install did not complete fully, it crashed.

* Product: Intel(R) Chipset Device Software
* Release: Production Version
* Version: 9.0.0.1008
* Target Chipset#: Intel(R) 4 Series Chipset
* Date: May 01 2008

Any help... for both of us would be great, thought id post here rather than repeating it again.

Thanks
Paul

this is the graphic driver for your Ei 214 http://support.thetechguys.com/layout.aspx?ID={c0f3bbb1-1763-45bf-a606-4e630c4185bd}&CatID={db0bee62-e608-4745-8885-42362cde7aaa}

you need to copy and paste into address bar

this driver will only work if your monotor socket is on the I/O plate

Set a System Restore Point before installing drivers just in case
Start instructions / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / select Create a Restore point and follow
