No Audio Device???

Okay. I am using a Toshiba Satellite Laptop Model # A70-S259 . The problem I am having is this. A few months ago, my boyfriend turned it on and there was no sound. Even plugging in headphones or connecting the computer to the tv. No system sounds, or anything, it's like there's no sound card or something. I came in about 2 weeks ago and have been trying to fix it ever since. When I go into the Control Panel, open Audio and sound devices, it says 'no audio device' I have tried downloading the drivers from the Toshiba site, and have also attempted downloading the 'Legacy audio drivers' as that is what is listed in the device manager. Neither of these things have worked. I've gone into the BIOS and there is not even an option for sound anything in them. I'm at my wits end and any advice would be REALLY great. Thank you.

Lisa
