Pioneer DVD Burner Stopped Working!!!

My Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D suddenly stopped working after I re-booted my pc 2 months ago because i had a virus i could not get rid of!

I have been trying diffrent programs and i tried burning my home made dvd on my friends computer and it worked with the same discs.

I have tried DVD-R's + DVD+R's and the problem still occurs

Can anyone please help?

When you say suddenly 2 months ago, do you mean it hasn't worked for 2 months or it just stopped working today?

Can you still read CDs and DVDs ok?

Look at Device Manager: Right-click on My Computer -> Hardware tab -> Click Device Manager. Expand DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Is your drive listed? If so does it have a yellow triangle next to it? Click it and see what it says.

It Hasn't worked for 2 months, since i re-booted my pc.

Yes, My Burner still picks up and reads cd's / Dvd's ok.

Yes my drive is listed and no there is no triangle.
