How to find Trojan Horse Keylogger's address and remove it?

Recently, my computer (WinXP) was infected by the Trojan Horse Keylogger but Kaspersky could only left the option of Allow to choose and no Remove option to choose so i couldn't identify its address and it cannot be removed...

So is there any way to find out its address and to be able to remove it?...

Download and run AVG Free.I don't put much stock in Kaspersky.You may need to
uninstall Kaspersky.I believe Kaspersky and AVG don't get along well.Most times 2
anti-virus programs don't run well together on the same computer.

AVG is here--->http://www.majorgeeks.com/download886.html

SINCE WHEN ???????

PeckerWood, Have you even used (paid version) of Kasersky ? and please tell us what is wrong with it!! People are going nuts out there trying to uninstall version 8.x of "FREE AVG" and the can't and you ask them just do that.

Even Kaspersky perhaps wouldn't remove Trojan!!!

"latenight" , you need to use a "Trojan Remover" [$] for that......I don't endorse any of them but I have use this one myself and it works just fine.

format c: works good as well, but its a pain. some of that malware is pretty nasty when it gets in, it can be pretty much impossible to get it out with out wiping your disk. the reason kaspersky did not remove it is probably because it embedded itself in a system file or made itself look like an important windows file or something, who knows. in any case, don't rely solely on anti-virus programs, get a firewall as well if you don't have one already and be sure to keep all your anti-malware programs up to date.

i have always used AVG, so I don't know about kaspersky, but AVG will allow you to quarantine files so they can't be copied or executed, i guess if for some reason you couldn't block it or remove it. in any case, you could always stick with more 'reputable' porn sites in the future .
