Wireless network connection problem

Hello, I have reinstalled Windows XP professional on my laptop. I used to have XP, then I decided to switch to vista (it was a big mistake), and now I decided to go back to XP. My wireless internet conenction worked fine before I reinstalled XP. Now, when I go to the device manager, the computer cannot read my modem. And under Network Connections, I do not have the icon of "Wireless Network Connection". I looked on many different sites about this issue but all the help that they gave required me to have the "Wireless Network Conenction" icon. It seems to me that the root of the problem is that the hardware cannot be read by the computer because of a missing driver which was deleted during the time when I formatted the disk when I installed XP for the second time. Any hints, ideas, or advice?

I'm also using a Toshiba laptop which says Satellite A 105 - S4064 SYSTEM UNIT. I Don't know if that's the modem specifications or not.

Thanks in advance

When I go to services.msc, the Wireless Zero Configuration says that it's already started and that it is already set to an automatic start up.
