Multimedia Audio Controller Missing!! NOOB Sorry!!!

Multimedia Audio Controller Missing!! NOOB Sorry!!!

Hi,

Really sorry but I am a complete NOOB to all this technical stuff.

I know the question has been asked many times but after searching the threads none of the help has benefited me at all.

I know I am a self confessed NOOB but I am really deperate for any help.

I have been given a PC without any software discs and obviously are having problems with sound. In fact I have no sound at all.

It states on the pc if I look at the device manager that I have no Multimedia Audio Controller!!! (it has a yellow Question mark)

I know that I need to install a driver to rectify the problem but really dont know how to go about it because am getting very confused with how tofind the motherboard Info!

I have downloaded the everest program that some of you have advised on other threads and have found the following info.

the report shows that onboard sound and a sound card are installed, do you have 2 sets of audio sockets, one on the I/O plate and one lower down the tower in an expansion slot - see here - click image to focus
