No picture playing in media player

A couple of days ago i put a film on, playing through media player classic with k-lite codecs for my little cousin and after he had watched it he closed it down him self. Later that day i tried watching some video through media player classic and there was no picture but there was sound. This now happens with any video i try to watch. I have tried uninstalling the k-lite codecs and reinstalling but nothing works. I think my cousin may have done something to it.

Is there anyone who might be able to help me get this sorted out?

have you tried doing a system restore .

yes i have tried that, it fails to do a system restore

Try and download "Divx" That usually plays most video formats, you could also try VLC, that's better than Divx, easy to use. and it's free also.

i downloaded VLC and had set it to OpenGL mode and it worked but still doesnt play with mpc
