Hi,
recently my XP crashed and I decided to repair it with the XP proffessional CD. Setup went fine till the device installation part, but then the screen goes standby.
At first run setup requested the Nvidia drivers CD (chip set and graphics adapter are Nvidia), and issued a warning that the drivers a not MS certified. I ignored it, than the screen went off and on a couple of times, until it was shut off finally. From the setuptxt.log I know that setup waits for me to enter the serial key, but that's hard thing without screen

Of course I rebooted the PC several times, but setup always stops with an black screen.
I think the problem is caused by the Nvidia drivers (grahipcs, sound and network). How can I make setup to drop those and use standard drivers instead? Is it possible to restart the repair from the beginning? The repair option is no longer available when I boot from CD ...
Thanks
Ralf
