No display after installing drivers for Video Controller(VGA Controller),please help!
Hi,
I've been suffering the seemingly all too common issues with the Video Controller driver problem. I managed to install the drivers, as my graphics card is an nVidia 7600 GS, and so I installed the latest driver, which seemed to work as it registered under the Device Manager, but when I restarted the computer, the display failed again with no signal being recieved.
This is so frustrating, any help would be appreciated so much!

Hi, I need more info. When it failed again do you mean this is a on going problem? It must work sometimes or you wouldnt be able to install drivers? Where did you down load the drivers from? Does the PC start ok in safe mode?

hi,heres a long shot,mr montys got a point,if you can be on pc long enough try uninstalling same in device manager in safe mode, again,(uninstall drivers) then hit restart, provided you are connected to the net you might get the drivers auto reinstalled by the wizard once the pc fires up, and if you can stay on the net long enough do a belarc report and post too. also,is it a laptop or desk top, desktop, check cable to monitor.other than that its back to you mr monty007 n good day to you all down under.

Ok, I'll try my best to answer your questions and clear this up.
I am able to install the latest nVidia drivers after I have uninstalled the Display Monitor in safe mode, and it registers correctly. However, after this is done, when I restart the computer, the display fails again, with the monitor reverting to power saving mode with apparantly no signal being received. It's not my individual monitor as I've tried a different one with the same results, and I'm using a VGA cable, plugged into the expansion slot, not the I/O plate, if that helps, and it is a desktop compuer.
Here is the Belarc Advisor summary to try and help you out, don't know what you might need/not need:

Hi, can you try this, boot into safe mode uninstall video drivers and reboot into XP. You graphics will be a bit chunky but did the PC boot into XP this time?
What is the exact brand and model of your video card?
Can you get your hands on another video card? As I think this is going to be the only way to telll if this is a driver issue or hardware.
I would give your PC a good clean as well http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...torial118.html
Check all cables and reseat them.
