XP Disk Management Problem

Hi peeps.

Decided to reinstall my XP yesterday, after starting the setup disk, where you choose where to install windows, it showed that I had 2 x 131GB HDD's. Problem is I have 1 x 250GB and 1 x 320GB (Both Sata)

I installed XP on my first drive anyway, hoping it would sort itself out, but upon looking in Disk Management, Im showed as having 2 x 128GB HDD's. Both empty apart from XP on one of them. Problem is I had a few GB's of stuff on the second HDD, so I guess this stuff has dissapeared?

Checked in the bios in startup, that recognises the drives and displays them as the correct sizes ect, but cant seem to get them to work in Managment. All worked fine yesterday! Used the same XP disc as I always use ect, no dodgy copy or anything.

I would prefer to get back/keep what I had on my second disc, but if I have to lose it then so be it.

Would be much appreciated if anyone has any ideas!

Many thanks in advance, Rich.

MSI MS-7094
Athlon x64 4600+ Dual Core
250GB SATA
300GB SATA

Hi, I would reformat your c: drive but first unplug you data drive. When you reinstall, format the drive but dont select the "quick" format select "full"(well I think it is called full)
