Changing from outlook express to microsoft outlook

Iam running windows xp and using outlook express, I upgraded to microsoft office 2003 prof. and I imported everything from outlook express to microsoft outlook but I cannot receive emails in microsoft outlook, I changed all the defaults to microsoft outlook but all emails continue to go to outlook express. How do I get this to work. Please help!!!!

It just worked for me, but I would guess it's the default mail handler setting in control panel/internet options/Programs/email. Click the dropdown and choose.

Microsoft outlook doesn't recieve email

I did that already and still doesn't work.

Your accounts now exist is Outlook? Try the import menu entry.

I got it fixed, I had to set the send/receive option

So you're saying OE was still sending and receiving instead of Outlook?
I must remember that one.
How come you never tried manual send/receive in outlook?
