Question MTP, INF, and mp3 player help

Feel free to move this if it's in the wrong section.

I am having some problems. My computer won't allow me to put music on my mp3 player. In fact, my computer barely recognizes the player's connection. It won't locate it when I try to sync my music onto it, yet it will for any other device (PSPs, phones, etc). When I plug my mp3 player into my USB port, a message comes up that says the computer would install software for the MTP device. Under that the message says to insert the installation CD into my disk drive. I do that, and the computer searches for the MTP device but says it can't install it because the required section wasn't found in the INF. So, my questions are: How do I get the required section into the INF? And what is the required section in the first place? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind. I found an alternative that works just as well.
