<< sound and audio problem >>
Hi. i have been experiencing a sound problem for quite a long time but still cant figure out wat to do . So, i hope through this forum , i can get some help and hope to fix my problem ! Ok, here is my problem . i have a multimedia audio controller problem and i have installed realtek ac97 as instructed in other thread . the problem went away however, when i install realtek , other devices such as microsoft kernel etc. appear and will have yellow ! next to it. i tried uninstall them which have the yellow ! but the sound still doesnt work . i have the sound effects icon in the taskbar but when i want to open it , it will say no mixer devices are installed . however , when i checked my realtek properties , everything is working fine and enabled . So, why does'nt i get any sound ? by the way i have checked my windows audio under services and it is started and in automatic state. Also, under sound and audio devices in control panel, it state there is no audio device and everything is greyed out . So, can anyone help me to resolve my problem ? i really want my sound back =( THX for any help offered . =D
