need help to print 132 characters per line

Hi,
I have an hp officejet pro L7580 which I can print 80 Chars per line ok. I need to print 132 chars. I have tried using Mode command with the following result
mode lpt1: cols=131
xp says 'device cannot be set to the specified no of lines and or colums'
fair enough
Mode lpt1: cols=132
xp says ' out of memory'
Any ideas?
