Question Wierd sound problem (Annoying)

Ok check this out so im working on my laptop I finnally decided to go trough the hassle and be able to dual boot my laptop Vista/XP SP3 so I've done this and now my sound in XP seems to like to not go up and down with the master volume. So making this as uncomplicated as possible all im trying to do is link my WAVE & my Master volume together lol my laptop is compaq presario f761us Operating systems both Vista and XP SP3.

Any suggestions?

Oh yea Conextant High Definition Audio DRIVER VER:3.26.0.0 is what I have installed now bear in mind this was a vista laptop and the linking works in Vista just fine XP SP3 problem perhaps? =/

did install that driver succesfully, but im still working without Master volume and wave linked =/ so Im probally going to go back to the previous version I had 3.26 being that its newer.

Now bear in mind I couldn't have the normal setup work so I had to manually install the driver by locating the .Inf file but that was pretty typical being that this laptop came with Vista I pretty much had to do that with every driver.
