Sound Problem!!, if Speakers plugged in front it only plays through right speaker....

and if i plug the speakers in the back it only plays the the left speaker.

i was told to install this "udio 2 version Realtek High Definition and AC'97"

i thought it was just my speakers broken to start with, then my sister put the speakers in the front and right speaker worked and not the left.

can anyone help me with this??, the is no errors and the speakers are to play out of both.

Thanks in advance

It does seem as though the problem is with your speakers, and not with the software. Probably with the speaker plug itself or the wires.

Try another pair of speakers on your computer and see if they are ok.

Exactly mate, as you see, if your headphones are fine, it's not the computer which is faulty, but the speakers.

Well, look at it this way, the computer can't possibly tell what, if anything, is attached to the speaker out socket, so it can't decide to treat one device, for example your speakers, any differently than another, i.e., your headphones.

Logically it follows that the problem lies within the speakers.

Jack plugs on speakers and headphones can play up a bit after a while, try cleaning the speaker jack plug with alcohol, blowing out the speaker plug sockets with air and jiggling the speaker jack in the socket a bit.
