Computer keeps booting into partial install

Details: I had a partial install of XP on my computer but I installed vista. My pc kept booting into the install and giving an error so I went into vistas system settings and removed the boot timer and had the Vista os selected thinking it would just boot into there. Now it just boots into the install, I can't get into vista again. Is there anyway I can change the boot time or something without going into windows?

I would start from scratch. Boot from the installation CD/DVD, when setup shows what partition exists with Windows already on it, choose to 'delete' that partition. Then install Windows on to that 'unallocated space'. Now create a new partition in that unallocated space and tell setup to install Windows on it.
