Also just out of curiosity when I was using Vista my main drives were c and d but afterwards it's now c and h why is that and can I change it back? Thank you guys in advance for your help.

Well the ethernet controller is what you need to get online. Does your computer not come with a driver's CD???
If you don't have that, open your PC and find out the model of the Network Interface Card. Once you got that, go to a PC with Internet connectivity and find the driver for the card, download it, transfer it onto a removable storage device and install it on the troubled PC.
