reformatted to XP media center, need help with drivers

hello everyone!
I am a new user and I've got a question =p


so, i recently formatted my computer with media center, and everything works except my sound, and I've looked through the other threads and cant find a solution to my problem. In my device manager it says that i need my multimedia controller and my PCI device drivers. when i click on install drivers it doesn't work.

so i downloaded the audio driver, and when it finished and i ran it it said that i already had all of the files that I DL'd.

and I don't know if this helps, but under device status, it says:
the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)
