Angry Can't Load OS!!!!!! XP Professional

I am running a P4@1.6GHZ and 256MB RAM
XP Professional

I turned my computer off the other day, and since then I have not been able to load the OS. Here is what happens:
When i startup, after the screen with the Windows XP with the busy bar under it, it normally goes to the blue log-on screen, now the screen just turns black and is like frozen. I have tried this a bunch of times and the same thing. I tried booting up in safe mode and it freezes at the same spot every time during the loading of the files. I have tried the boot logger mode, and only one time it told me that ntoskrnl file is corrupted. But only once it actually said that. I have tried booting from Floppy and CD, and what happens every time is the same...if i try and do a new setup, it freezes at "Searching for previous versions of windows", and if i try to repair, once i hit 1, when it asks what u want to repair, it freezes then...please help, if anyone has any suggestions!!!

Fresh install would be the best option so you don't have problems in future.

How can I do that? The only options I have from the CD are setup and repair which freeze anyway when I try.

Is there anyway to save any information from my hard drive? I have all my uploaded pics backed up onto CD-Rs, but there are some other files I may want to get.

Yeah, I am at work now so I have the net..tryin to get as much info here as i can..haha, I am not totally sure which partition system I have. It would probably be the most basic, whatever "normal" PCs are usually configured to.

assuming that you have FAT32:
go to this site and get your self a boot diskwindows98Se OEM)

http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
save the file on your hard drive and run it to make a boot disk.

Insert that into your computer and do to BIOS and change the Boot Option to start from A: drive first /save and exit/ reboot
your system should boot with the floppy, so on the command prompt create a new directory call it "saved", then copy evey thing that you want to save in that directory.
at the prompt type in c:\deltree . ,, at this point your computer will ask you if you are sure that you want to delete the file,,,, press "Y" for yes to every thing except the "saved" dirctory . when all the unwanted files are deleted, you can install the new operating system,, WALA,, there are other way of doing it too,,, but let's stick with something simple

[this will work like charm if you have FTA32]

let me know how it works out for you

cheers

Xp does NOT default to NTFS. However, XP likes NTFS better. Go to a site, such as, Windows XP A to Z and in the search box typr in FAT32 or NTFS and you will see an area describing how to convert. It is a simple process.

I ran chkdsk and norton antivirus....another thing is I can only get into 2 of the 4 XP usernames....when i try to access the other two it says access denied?? anything i can do to get into those...and how can i fix this so i can boot up to my computer..once again, my problem is i cant boot from CD, HD, or floppy, it freezes on each one so im assumming its a hardware problem
