No sound Windows XP

I recently just installed a new OS of Windows XP. Before I had this OS, my sound worked fine, after the installation under my device manager It says my Audio Controller is not connected correctly. I've seen that you need the Belarc information and here it is:
Gateway E-4100 4000820
System Serial Number: 0031775626
Chassis Serial Number: 0031775626
Enclosure Type: Desktop
