Audio Problems - SoundMAX

So recently my laptop at work lost its audio. It look slike it may have been right after a patch hit and it rebooted. Anyway I have reinstalled the chipset, the hotfix for HD audio, the drivers and SoundMAX software and no good. It looks like the drivers are all installed but when the system boots up and i log in it says "driver could not be loaded...you may need to re-install SoundMAX". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, just to make sure....on the last window go yo drivers and uninstall...here is the link to the driver http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-67971

Well after much troubleshooting and analyzing log files i found the problem. It seems that my Logitech Camera had a software update recently which caused the sound driver not to load. I uninstalled the Logitech QuickCam software and rebooted....sound came back.

Is that a built in soundcard?
