internet is not working

hello all

I purchased a Vista computer and installed XP successfully. However, I had help because I know nothing about operating systems. I cannot access the internet now. Five items did not install, but I don't think any of them have much to do with the internet:
Beanbag Emulation Device
Mulimedia Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
Other PCI Bridge Device
SM Bus Controller

Any suggestions as to how I access internet? I am connected to the internet with a working cable.

Hi, the problem is you do not have drivers installed. Now what is the make and model number? May I suggest who ever helped you...do not let them near your PC again!
