No Sound!!!

No Sound!!!

I have tried everything and I still have no sound. I've previously posted on this site my problems with drivers but even then my sound still does not work. I've tried numerous of troubleshoots and they do not help. The Speakers are brand new so I am 100% sure they are not the problem. The audio system is not on mute and there is no yellow question mark or anything by my sound driver. I do not know what to do and I am in dire need of help. Here is my system information:

Ok Ive went to the link and went to sound and downloaded the driver there but I still have no sound! DId I download the wrong driver?

check this to see if Realtek is default audio

Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device

I checked that and the default device is Realtek AC97 Audio. I also thought that maybe it was plugged into the wrong port but I tried all three and it still doesnt work.

you need to check if audio is Enabled in the BIOS

all commands are done useing the keyboard - click images to focus

as soon as comp boots press the <Del> or <F1> key to enter BIOS

Main menu opens

Audio Device should be set to Enabled - if Disabled

use down arrow key to select

then + key to change to Enabled

XP will load

if needed install audio driver again
