Going to reformat pc soon

I'm just about finish with this semester of college and want a free slate since my school requires a bunch of monitoring programs and stuff and even makes me install mcafee vs avg so I when I'm done I want to reformat my pc. I really just want to start fresh and I am willing to take the time out to do this. I know the basics like backing up files you want to save and deleting everything before reinstalling but I always have issues after with drivers and stuff. So this time I want to know what the correct way to do it and how to save my drivers, or at least the sites I need them from so I can save the links in my email so when I'm back and running all I have to do is click and download, since my pc was a custom built i can't just go to dells site or something. Just wondering if anyone can help me or tell me what to do to get help.
