Appearance of File Names

I have recently got a notebook with Windows XP Pro, however all the file names and text on desktop shortcut icons are underlined which makes them very difficult to read.

Any information on how to get rid of the underline and change them to just normal text would be greatly appreciated.

(right-click) My Computer > Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > General (tab)

In the 3rd box down, check the button that says, "Underline icon titles only when I point at them".
