Active desktop Item

OOPS! I clicked the wrong thing and installed an "active desktop item" on my desktop. How do I remove this pesky thing? XP HOme Edition.

Right click on your desktop, go to Properties / WEB and uncheck the box that say "Show Web Content on My Active Desktop " then click Apply.

If you want to permanently delete an item, click the Web tab in the Desktop Items dialog box. Select the item you want to delete and then click delete.
