Network dies after waking from hibernation..

Using a Netgear DG428M wireless router and an MA401 wireless PCMCIA card on XP ver 2002 SP1.

Each time I wake the computer from hibernation there is no network activity at all, wireless connection is fine however - full signal but there doesn't seem to be any communication with the router. Internet through the router stops working, the computer loses its IP address, can't connect to DHCP server, etc.

After a reboot it all comes back to life but rebooting each time is very inconvenient.

Latest firmware on router; ver 2.0.2 drivers for MA401 (latest apparently).

Just can't seem to fix this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Network dies after waking from hibernation..

I have the same problem, and I have used four different types of Wireless NIC (Interl, Linksys, 3Com, TellUS) and the same porblem,,,, I seem to me it is OS related not driver or firmware. My quick solution was to eject the card and reinsert it beck in with logout + login, rether then rebooting.

I would love to hear other ideas

cheers

Reinserting the card doesn't seem to do anything for me. I may try another brand just for the hell of it because this Netgear card has been nothing but trouble since I got it.
