Red face shutdown problems ...

recently my PC started to have his unusual problem.... it takes ages to shutdown... i wait and wait and wait .. the only thing it shows is WINDOWS IS SHUTTING DOWN.... , i get fed up and i switch off the power supply...???
i have WIN XP PRO with SP3 ,....
can any1 tell me what's going on...

Same problem

I've got the same problem, and was going to post the same question.

Some ideas on what the problem is and how to solve it, would be appreciated.
