Major Problem! - No Programs Will Open!

HELP!

Lately I have had a very bad issue with spyware and it may have started from Firefox.

I used the google search engine that Firefox has and it would redirect me to other sites no matter what I searched for.

I downloaded AVG Free and did a check in Safe Mode. When I restarted the computer, NOTHING loaded up! When I go to open something (exe files), and it can be anything from Paint, IE, AIM Firefox, Winamp, system restore, anti virus programs, everything, it shows the "Open With" box that looks similar to this:



The only way I could get on Firefox to post this was to go to "Look for the approproate program on the web" link.

On the Task Manager, there seems to be things running, but I cannot open anything.

THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE RELEVANT, BUT I ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE "WINDOWS ANTIVIRUS PRO" WHICH SEEMS TO BE A REALLY SERIOUS MALWARE PROBLEM.

PLEASE HELP!

Try a windows restore;

startup computer with f8 and go for safemode
in windows goto commandprompt ( start->run->cmd )
then it's "C:\" <enter>
then "cd windows" <enter>
"cd system32" <enter>
"cd restore" <enter>
"rstrui.exe" < enter>

there's also a windows shortcut for it, somewhere in the startup menu but can't tell you where so fast :P

I tried this, but unfortunately there is no restore point.

I really NEED to get to my Add/Remove programs. Everytime I click it, nothing happens. I have to get rid of this "Windows Antivirus Pro" because its causing many problems.
