Virus?
Ok, as with most others, I am new here, so yeah. Let's start.
Yesterday, my family and I went to the beach. Our family computer was off, and we spent about a day there. When we got back, I saw that our computer was on, and I shook the mouse to get it out of standby mode. I saw a weird antivirus program that I did NOT install [I only have AVG] and as I've been trying since this morning, I cannot get any programs or ANYTHING to open except for the internet by going to start>internet. The icon doesn't work, nor do any of the other ones I have on my desktop.
I, nor any other member of my family, do not visit any strange websites, download weird things, nor open different emails. I can confirm this. I am the person who usually works on here, and I am extensively cautious on that I visit and don't visit. I cannot enter any section of the control panel or do ANYTHING but go on the internet. That is how I'm typing this. As of a couple hours ago, I was able to open the task manager and cancel the 'antivirus' [which looks disgustingly copied from a Windows one] from running. Right now, nothing else will open but that, and I NEED a solution. I have tried going to safe mode and accessing things from there, but I repeatedly get a message that comes and goes quickly. It just says, "Program too big to fit in memory". This is extremely aggravating; please help!!!
